Top 10 ways Myspace destroys yourself

This is a great article for myspace users. I find many articles related to myspace but this is very popular article. So here I publish this article for my community members. I thank mr. Baton Rouge Lagniappe for his great work for this article.

10.Myspace Addiction:
Checking Myspace chronically at home and at work can lead to the alienation of those around you. I was at a party this weekend where the host excused herself to check her Myspace account - She was gone for an hour. When she reemerged from her bedroom half the guests had left. Being a Total bore checks in as the number ten way Myspace can ruin your life.

9.The Job Hunt:
People often forget that prospective employers know what Myspace is and regularly check their applicants' Myspace pages before making a job offer. Those pictures of your drunken bikini clad trip to Cancun might cause your prospective boss to see you in a different light than the well groomed, fully clothed professional you presented yourself as during the interview. While first impressions still count, more and more people are realizing page impressions count as well. Too personal for the profession world checks in as the number nine way Myspace can ruin your life

8.Top Friends:
Rarely is there an objective way of ranking who are your closest friends. Myspace has changed all that. Gone are the days when you could tell multiple people "you are my very closest friend," with impunity. That case is impossible to make to those who are not ranked number one in your Myspace top eight. No more free beers, rides to airport, pet sitting, or alibis from faux best of best friends is the number eight way Myspace can ruin your life.

7.Browsing Members:
"Exactly why were you browsing Females, 21-25, swingers, here for dating?" That's right, Myspace save your last browsing criteria on the computer, not your account. The next person who logs on and selects browse will see exactly who, or what you were looking for. Cruising for a night on the couch slinks in as the number seven way Myspace can ruin your life.

6.Comments:
For some reason people will leave Myspace comments on pictures and pages, which contain information, solicitations, and references they would refrain from in certain company. Anything said in a Myspace is comment is viewable, by men, women, Xs, significant others, moms, dads, bosses, priests, rabbis, and everyone else. With one click your most embarrassing, or intimate, or irresponsible, or inconsiderate moment could appear directly beneath your smiling photograph. People treating comments like a whisper, rather than a shout is the number six way Myspace can ruin your life.

5.View All Friends:
Yes, people do view all the people you added as friends. As the old saying goes lie down with dogs; wake up with flees. Keep adding the webcam girls, the half naked guys from Argintina, and you'll soon discover way number 5 that Myspace can ruin your life.

4. Survey Says:
In addition to often asking you to provide the most intimate details of your life may people have become addicted to bulletin chain surveys. While we've already discussed how divulging too much information might be harmful, we have not discussed how people determine how much time you spend on Myspace. There is of course the "online now" marker, but the other person has to be on as well, and people in glass houses shouldn't though stones. However, if a person logs on occasionally and find the twenty-four surveys you filled out in the last twenty-four hours, I'll be the first one to hand them a rock. Outing yourself as a compulsive Myspacer rings in the number 4 way Myspace can ruin your life.

3.9,864 Friends:
Nobody has this many friends in real life. You have just announced to the world that you are desperately seeking electronic approval, because you could not find any in the physical world. The same things that have been said about guys with $200,000 cars might just apply to the Myspace profile that need 200,000 friends. Looking as though you are overcompensating or worse yet, actually overcompensating is the third way Myspace can ruin your life.

2. Blogging:
There are many legitimate blogs out there sharing their expertise in a niche market; however, most myspace blogs center around two topics: 1. I'm feeling down/boost my ego, and 2. I'm having a personal problem I wouldn't tell you about in real life, but am inviting you to give me advice on where everyone can see. Blogging a bout your personal problems, becomes a problem itself as the number two way Myspace can ruin your life.

1. Profile Picture:
In a relationship? Is your partner in the picture? If the answer is no, you might have discovered the number one way Myspace can ruin your life. Are you in your best friends profile picture, but he/she is not in your? You might have just discovered the number one way myspace can ruin your life. Is your profile picture one you would be comfortable showing your parents? No - You might have just found the number one way myspace can ruin your life. Is your X still in your profile picture? You definitely just found the number one way Myspace can ruin your life.
